Professor P D Jose
P D Jose is Professor of Strategy at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. He currently chairs IIMB’s Digital Learning Initiatives, especially in the space of Massive Online Open Courses. Professor Jose teaches core courses on strategy and electives on Corporate Environmental Management, Sustainable Enterprises and Understanding Corporate Failures. His research interests include strategy formulation and implementation, crisis management and organisational renewal, corporate sustainability and corporate social responsibility management.
Jose is a Fellow of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management from the Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal and Bachelors in Physics from the Institute of Science, Bombay.
Before joining IIMB, Jose was a faculty at the Administrative Staff College of India, Hyderabad. He was also a Fulbright Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston and Keenan Flagler Business School, North Carolina, during 1999-2000. He was also an ESRC Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Business Relationships, Accountability, Sustainability and Society (BRASS) at Cardiff University and briefly taught at the Cardiff Business School. He has been a visiting faculty at IIM Kozhikode, and Gothenburg School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg.
Jose has consulted with several private and public-sector organisations, government agencies, state governments and international organisations. He has conducted strategy sessions and workshops for several Indian and multinational organisations including Oracle, Microsoft, Larsen & Toubro, Emirates Bank, Nokia, KG International, Volvo Cars, UPM-Kymmene and others.
